Helicon 3D Viewer

This software lets you view 3D models created by the Helicon Focus.

Helicon 3D Viewer is a free utility that can be used to manipulate 3D models produced by Helicon Focus. There is no need to have Helicon Focus license to install and use Helicon 3D Viewer. If you use these models, this free utility can help you share the same with friends and colleagues. The viewer tool will let you define lighting conditions, rotation speed and the viewing point for model viewing. The viewer is able to amplify and/or smoothen the depth map or the relief. There are a several export options available with the tool. These include exporting the view as a Xvid, DivX or a Quicktime movie or as web animations. Models can be exported as Red-Cyan/Green/Blue anaglyphs and stereo pairs. Most recent enhancement in export methods is support of Wavefront OBJ format.

The interface is well designed. Controls are on two tabbed pages. One is about parameters; the other tab is about files management. In the parameters section, things that you can set includes surface approximations, zoom level, rotation speed, rotation angle, relief amplifier and smoothing. On the file tab, you have selections for loading models, saving models, save snapshots, save stereo, save web animations, save video and export model. You can specify a maximum file size, angle to be used for model viewing and its type (such as stereo pairs, different anaglyphs etc.)
